Sunroof Removal

Simple guide on how to remove the glass panel from the electric sunroof on a LWB model.

1- Get into the back seat, and with the sunroof closed fully, slide back fully the sun visor under the sunroof.
2- You'll see FOUR plastic squarish covers on the sides of the glass (2 each side), remove the screws that hold these in place.
3- Once removed, you'll see TWO nuts underneath each plastic cover... total EIGHT.
4- Loosen the nuts and remove.
5- The sunroof is now free to remove and can be pushed gently upwards and outwards from below. (THESE ARE HEAVY PANELS, help would be advised.)
6- The rubber seals around the glass hide more rust than the eye can see. Check and fix/repair accordingly.
7- Take the opportunity with the sunroof off, and clean (use also WD40) the "rails" where the sunroof slides and re-grease.
8- Put back together in reverse of above and test.
