Instrument pod bulb replacement ( courtesy of R.Ambrose )Mine only had 1 bulb for the compass. I've heard other models having 2.
Undo the 2 screws to get the instrument pod, shroud off.
Undo 4 screws holding the instrument pod in.
Release electrical connector.
Take the perspex cover off
Undo the 2 screws holding the compass
Turn the unit over and remove the tape protecting the wiring.
This will allow you to pull the compass forward
Just twist the holder to release.
If you've bought the Mitsu one just pop the new one back in.
Otherwise you will need to re-use the lamp holder.
There are 2 metal guides\contacts in the side of the bulb holder which have to be eased out (use the small flat screwdriver for that), before the new bulb can be fitted.
Trim the excess lead length.
Stick it all back together.
Don't forget you'll have to reset the compass.
Press and hold the set switch until the arrow goes backwards and forwards.
Drive around in circles until it sets itself 3 or 4 goes should do it
